JB Powell with Cross Point Church | Campus Pastor Summit

JB Powell

JB Powell's journey began in the church, where he embraced his calling to pastoral ministry despite initially running from it. Over the past two decades, JB has been involved in various aspects of pastoral ministry. This includes launching and leading youth ministry, helping pioneer multi-site ministry and strategy for one of the fastest-growing churches in the country, and leading campuses of all sizes, from a few hundred to over 5000. JB has also launched and pastored many campuses in Denver, CO, and helped launch a campus internationally in Brussels, Belgium. Additionally, he served as a lead pastor in California, guiding and overseeing a church that encountered significant hardships. Currently, JB serves as the Multisite and Hendersonville campus pastor for Cross Point Church, with campuses throughout metro Nashville, TN. He has been married to his wife, Kristine, for over 22 years, and they have three awesome kids: Grant, Max, and Clara.

Topic : Amplify Our Initiatives Meaningfully

Many of us have likely felt a surge in time demands in recent months as we navigate responsibilities that include family, volunteer recruitment, staff meetings, and hospital visits. Embracing these commitments while juggling ongoing projects and the pressure of managing our task lists and inboxes can be challenging. Yet, it also reflects our resilience and commitment to what truly matters.

As we transition into a new year, many of us strive to shift our priorities and enhance our efficiency in managing our responsibilities. Yet, before optimizing our programs, improving attendance, or refining our time management strategies, we must first and foremost prioritize our time with Jesus.
By prioritizing time with Jesus, we unlock a greater capacity for impact and productivity that transcends individual efforts. Through this enriched relationship, we become better stewards of the responsibilities entrusted to us, allowing us to operate from a place of abundance. This foundational shift will empower us, through the Holy Spirit, to amplify our initiatives meaningfully.
