About The Speaker
Sonja Waltman
Sonja was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in York, Pa and has now lived in Lancaster for the last 28 years. She and her husband Scott are almost empty nesters and are very much enjoying this season and stage of life in marriage, as parents and as Pops and YaYa. Sonja has been on staff at LCBC for 19 years and currently serves on the Strategic Leadership team as our Director of Central Ministries. She loves change and in every role she has held, she has deeply enjoyed investing in others, developing people and making things better. This extends outside of her staff position including serving women in the community who are far from Jesus, playing soccer in various secular settings and assisting with leading LCBC Manheim teams to their sponsored community in Kenya. Sonja loves her family, the beach and has been known to chase down the best ice cream around.
